As Cute as a Basket of Baby Sloths
These baby sloths have been rescued by the Jaguar Rescue Center in Costa Rica. According to the Jaguar Rescue Center, many of the young two-toed sloths rescued there have fallen off their mother due to accident, illness or rejection. When efforts to reunite them with their mother failed, they were brought to the Jaguar Rescue Center. They will be raised and cared for until they are old enough to be released back into the wild. These babies are in a basket as a means of transport from their area of climbing during the day to their enclosure at night.
